Compass Precision

Meet The Management Team

A Compass Precision Company

Mike Kane,
Vice President & General Manager

Mike joined Pocasset Machine in August 2025. He became the company’s first general manager after Compass Precision acquired the machine shop, replacing previous owners Barry and Chris Kent, who retired months later.

Just prior to Pocasset Machine, Mike worked as a shop operations manager. He has also previously served as a manufacturing engineer/CNC programmer, engineering manager and general manager over his 25 years in the machining industry.

A native New Englander, he graduated from the University of Rhode Island with a BS in Industrial Engineering.

Mark Pierce,
Plant Supervisor

At 32 years, Mark is one of longest-tenured employees at Pocasset. He initially joined the company as a night-shift lead, but less than six months into his tenure, Mark became the shop foreman.

Mark has more than five decades of machining experience. He likes to tell people he used to program before CAD or CAM existed, using paper, pencil and a calculator. Mark is experienced in both CNC and manual machines.

He arrived at Pocasset with previous experience as a working supervisor. Mark is also a trade school graduate.

Tom Snow,
CNC Programmer/Setup Operator & Machinist

Tom has decades of experience as a machinist, working more than 39 years in the field. He has been at Pocasset the past seven years.

He started at the operating company as a milling machinist. Tom has progressed over the past three years, also becoming a programmer and setup operator. He is now the primary programmer for the milling department at Pocasset Machine.

Tom previously served as a CNC milling department manager at Ab-Wey Machine for 17 years. He also worked at Mass Automation for 18 years and has engineering department experience from a tenure at AJA.

Jose Rodrigues,
Quality Manager

Jose has worked at Pocasset for more than 16 years. He has filled many different roles in the department as the Quality Manager.

He has more than 30 years of experience in machining. After starting his career at Augat, Inc., Jose became a lead machinist, second-shift supervisor, and production manager at Sapphire Engineering. Following several mergers, Sapphire Engineering became Idex Corp. and relocated to Middleborough.

Wanting to stay on the Cape, Jose joined the quality department at Pocasset in 2009.

Linda Campbell,
Office Manager/Customer Service & Purchasing

Coming to Pocasset with more than three decades of experience, Linda has served as Pocasset Machine’s office manager for the past six-plus years. She previously performed office management work for insurance and grocery companies, along with the local school system.

Before working at Pocasset, she was an assistant booth manager for five years at Market Basket. Linda also took time away from her career to be an at-home mother.
